20 Questions

I saw this survey on Teri’s blog, and decided that this week was the perfect time to do it.  With the wedding now over, I can start to dedicate much more time to this little blog.  I hope you enjoy.

1. What brings you the greatest joy?  The thing that brings me the greatest joy is having days to just do whatever I want.  Sleep in – sure!  Watch endless episodes of Orphan Black – you bet!  Eat nothing but sugary cereal and pizza – yep, I have those days too!  I love being able to have days off from work and blogging every once in a while.  I haven’t had many of those recently with wedding planning, but now that the wedding is over, it is nice to have some free time back.

2. What are your vices?  I curse like a sailor sometimes and it’s a terrible vice to have.  It’s usually when I’m driving and someone cuts me off or doesn’t use their turn signals.  Those are my biggest driving pet peeves.

3. What is on your nightstand?  A lamp, usually a glass of water, a mirrored tray, and a smaller tray to hold jewelry.

4. Do you have a secret talent?  I’m pretty good at finding new apps.  That sounds so nerdy, but I’m always finding great iPhone apps way before anyone else does.  I look for new apps on the App Store all the time, and when I find a good one it’s usually before it becomes super popular.

5. What is your greatest indulgence?  Ice cream/frozen yogurt and cheesecake.  If I could live off of ice cream and cheesecake, I probably would.  That reminds me, a huge piece of Cheesecake Factory original cheesecake needs to be in my near future.

6. What should every woman try at least once in her life?  Try new food!  If I ate like I did while I was in college, I’d be still living off packaged frozen dinners and protein bars.  I think everyone should step outside of their comfort zone and try something new every once in a while.

7. What makes you laugh?  Bryan.  He’s a pretty funny guy.  He knows how to lift my mood if I’m having a bad day.  Humor is the best quality in a man.

8. What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?  I can fit into dryers.  Haha, I haven’t tried this since college.  In college, my room-mates and I would try to scare each other by hiding in weird places and jumping out.  I tried hiding in our dryer when I was a sophomore in college and it worked!

9. What is on your bucket list?  Traveling around the world.  I’m so happy that Bryan shares a desire to travel, because we’ll start planning our honeymoon soon.  After that, I hope to take a trip at least once a year to someplace new and exciting.

10. What is on your feet right now?  Nothing – I’m barefoot.

11. How did you make your first dollar?  Scooping water ice at Rita’s Water Ice when I was 16.  It wasn’t the most glamorous job, but I met some great friends and had a blast!

12. What superstition do you believe in?  People drive like morons when there’s a full moon.  Is that a superstition?

13. What items in your closet do you wear the most?  My work clothes because I’m at work 5 days a week like most people.  Now that the wedding is over, I’ll be spending any extra money I have on new spring work clothes.  I’ve worn what I currently have to the ground.  My favorite bottoms of all time include: J. Crew Eaton pants, Express Editor pants, and Gap Slim Cropped Pants.

14. What is the best gift you’ve ever received?  My engagement and wedding rings.

15. What is on your liquor shelf?  Oh goodness.  We already had a lot, but now we have even more because of some leftovers from the wedding.  Although we have A LOT of liquor, we usually don’t ever drink it.  I’m more of a Corona and wine kind of gal.

16. What is on your kitchen counter?  A toaster oven, a cutting board, a stand mixer, a juicer, a Keurig + a pod holder, a paper towel holder, and knife block.

17. What would you never leave home without?  Aside from keys, I would say my cell phone and wallet.  I would be lost without my phone and it’s illegal to drive without an ID Smile.

18. What movie has the greatest ending?  I’m really picky when it comes to movies because I get bored very quickly; therefore, rarely ever make it to the ending.

19. Who is on the guest list for your ideal dinner party?  If we’re talking about celebrities, then I’d definitely invite Mindy Kaling, Olivia Wilde, Kate Middleton and Naya Rivera.

20. What is one thing you wish you had known when you were younger?  Continue to work hard, because hard work always pays off.

Haha I just laughed so hard! I am with you on those new spring clothes…. Let’s promise each other – every time we go out, let’s skip the food and go shopping =) It’s a better investment. Haha!

We have the same vice. I’m a tiny girl but once I get mad (especially in traffic), I curse like a sailor. I’ve tried to reign it in more especially when I’m in public and there are kids near by but it’s hard 😛 I also looove cheesecake and you fitting in the dryer would honestly scare the living crap out of me if you were my roommate.
