My 2015 Resolutions

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! Earlier this week I recapped 2014, but today I’m talking about my 2015 resolutions. If you’re interested in reading my resolution posts from previous years you can find them here (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). For 2015, I wanted to limit the amount of resolutions/goals so I can really focus on each one. Let’s get into it!

1. Read at least one book per month. This shouldn’t be too difficult since I forced myself to start a book club here on the blog. For more details about that, check out this post. So aside from January’s book, The Most Beautiful Walk in the World by John Baxter, I’m also currently reading (and almost finished) A Stolen Life: A Memoir by Jaycee Dugard and Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (and other concerns) by Mindy Kaling.

2. Get back into the gym and try new group fitness classes. My complex has a gym and I don’t use it nearly as much as I should. It’s included in our rent, so there’s no reason why I can’t get my butt over there once in a while. I recently was able to try out this service called ClassPass (c/o), which is located in Philly, NYC, Boston, DC, San Francisco, San Diego and a few other places. When you register for ClassPass, you can take unlimited classes at participating studios, such as barre, yoga, Pilates and indoor cycling. I’m signing up for my first class in January. It’s aerial yoga!

3. Switch to an all natural skincare regimen & get my skin back in order. My skin has been pretty crappy over the past few years. It’s much drier and more acne prone. I’m not kidding, my face sometimes is literally flaking off. After spending loads of money on dermatologist visits and prescription creams, I think the next best thing to try is to try all natural products. I found a few products that I have on my shopping list, including a rose petal witch hazel toner and a coconut water & sea foam cleanser. If anyone has any experience using natural skincare products, please comment below and let me know!

Great goals! I really tackled my skin health a few months ago and I’m glad I did. It’s well worth it!
