Asics socks

Yesterday, I enjoyed my protein & spinach shake  (recipe to come!), and apple cinnamon chobani with chopped apple before lunch.  It is by far my new favorite snack!  Too bad I am out of apple cinnamon chobani.  I guess the vanilla one will have to do for today’s snack.

Yes that is a Belle figurine in the background.  Lauren from work went to Disney and brought all the girls back Disney Princesses for our desks.

Today’s run went a little better than yesterday, but still not great.  Luckily, there was an open treadmill today and I was able to hop right on.  There was a man next to me who kept staring at my stats on my treadmill the whole time!  Does this annoy any one else?

After a 3 mi run in 32:10, I got off the machine and quickly did a few stretches.  As much as I love running in the morning to wake myself up for the day, I wish I had even more time before work to get in a full workout.

Sweaty, and looking rather gross… but you get the idea.

Last week when I met up with my old roommate, we each picked up a pack of socks.  We grabbed the Hydrology Low Cut socks from Asics.  I’ve heard amazing things about Asics for running sneakers, but never gave much thought to their socks.  OMG.  These are life changing.  Yes, I just called socks “life changing.”  But, they really are.

My favorite part about these socks is the arch support band.  Not only are my arches loving them, but I love that when I put on my sneakers, my socks don’t pull back and bunch up in the heel.  Here is some information from the Asics website:

  • Ultra soft, plush cushioning targeted to maximum impact areas at the heel, toe, and ball of foot.
  • Moisture management and breathability
  • Seamless toe linking construction eliminates bulky toe seam and provides greater comfort
  • Arch support band provides improved comfort and fit
  • “Y” heel gore for improved fit, reducing slippage
  • Mesh knit-in for superior ventilation, keeping feet drier and more comfortable

I hope you all have a great Thursday!  I’m off to make my shake before work!

I’m not a fan of it either, when I’m at the gym I always try and get the ones closest to the wall as I hate having people on both sides of me.

Have a great weekend!
