Attempts to Brighten My Spirits

Yesterday wasn’t the best of days for me.  I don’t know what it was, but everything just seemed to be not working out right.  When Bry got home, I wasn’t super happy, but the Anthony’s interview was on Dr. Phil so I was content.  Before dinner we ended up going for a short bike ride.  When I say short, I mean probably 15 minutes tops- as you can see from my tweets.

I hate bike riding in the street.  We didn’t pick a great time to go anyway.  People were driving home from work at that time.  It was nice to get some fresh air for a while.  Being home all day is starting to take a toll on me.  I am bored with running around my development, and I refuse to keep doing it if it’s not exciting for me anymore.  Now that I am freelancing from home (details to come soon), I’m at home all day.  Still awaiting that full-time job with benefits!

What did make my day better was the fact that Bry knew exactly what would make me feel better: FROYO!  So we headed over to our local frozen yogurt place.  I got a mix of 3 kinds: original tart, sugar free raspberry, and birthday cake.  I added blueberries, mango pieces, these strawberry gummy things (forget what they were called), shaved coconut, and strawberry bursts.  I’m pretty hardcore with my frozen yogurt.

This morning I had all the plans to go running.  I even slept in most of my workout gear.  However, considering I didn’t get to bed until almost midnight, I was too tired to even move.  I did wake up when Bry left for work this morning at 6:45, but I had zero energy for a run.  Although I knew it would make me feel better, I decided not to go.
For breakfast I made banana cinnamon oatmeal.  It ended up tasting kind of bland and I putWAY too much nutmeg in it.  I ate it anyway because I didn’t feel like making something different.
At least it photographed well.

I love having oatmeal, cereal, toast or pancakes for breakfast 🙂

Emma: salt wouldn't be a bad idea! thanks for the advice.

Christine: yah!! I have mochi in there too! the strawberry kind. forgot what they were called. i still don't really know what they are.

I thought I was the only one who like original tart! 🙂 Nice. I am also a fan of the mango slices, but I also throw in Kiwi and those mochi things. Yum Yum.
