On My Radar: Chic, Casual Fall Fashion

We’ve had QUITE the hot summer in the Philadelphia area this year. Like to the point when it’s too hot to even sit by the pool. However, this week we’ve had cooler mornings {hello 75 degree weather!}, which is making me crave fall SO much. So today, I’m sharing with you the chic, casual fall fashion that’s on my radar lately.

1. Neiman Marcus Long-Sleeve Cable Knit Turtleneck: If I could pick one type of clothing item for the entire fall and winter seasons, it would be turtlenecks. I’m always super cold, so turtlenecks were basically made for me. I didn’t buy too many last year, but this year I’m stocking up. They are super versatile, because you can dress them up or make them look more casual. You can wear them to work with a pair of skinny black trousers, or on the weekends with a pair of ripped jeans and sneakers. The possibilities are endless!

2. Free People Lover Rib Thermal Top: Every time I’m in a Free People store I can never find what I’m looking for. Please tell me that I’m not the only one. However, when I’m searching through their website, I find like a million amazing things – including this thermal top which makes me super excited for fall. Fall is my favorite season because I love the relaxed fashion. But, don’t get that confused with SLOPPY. I love wearing a super casual top, like this thermal, with a pair of skinny jeans, cute booties, and maybe a fun suede hat.

3. Rag & Bone Margot Booties: Rag & Bone makes the BEST boots, in my opinion. Last fall, I tried on a bunch of their booties at Nordstrom and decided that I couldn’t make the splurge on them. Then for months, I wished I had just bought them! I’m obsessed with a lot of their styles, including these Margot ones and this Harlow style. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, try the Billie Boot from Madewell. I have a pair in black leather and wear them all the time in the fall/winter!

4. Adidas Superstar Sneakers: These sneakers have been on my wishlist since the spring, so it’s time I finally just buy them. Apparently they were cool back in middle school, but I wasn’t cool enough to know that. I just know I love them now, and they will look awesome with a pair of skinny jeans and the Free People Thermal I mentioned earlier. I don’t think I can be THIS daring, but I’ve also seen girls on Instagram rock these sneakers with a casual dress.

5. Zella Live In Leggings: I’ve been trying to find the perfect leggings for years now. Every time I think I’ve found something good, they wind up being sort of see through, and NO body wants that. I’ve bought so many pairs of cheap leggings, that I think it’s time I invest in a pair that’s going to last. These ones from Zella have rave reviews online, so I need to get my hands on them soon. They will look amazing with a long sweater and boots for basically every day in the fall/winter.

6. Madewell Suede Fringe Tote: I love a good fringe, and I love this bag in particular because it’s an INTERESTING work bag. It’s not too over the top, but has a bit of flare. I can throw all of my essentials in there and go. I’m pretty sure my friend Leslee has a tote from Madewell and wears it all the time because it’s such high quality. The only negative about this bag is that there is no zipper or snap closure. If anyone has recommendations for a similar bag that closes, please let me know.

7. Tom Ford Greta Sunglasses: Sunglasses are needed year round, so this isn’t necessarily a fall item, but I’m including it anyway. I’ll be honest… these Tom Ford sunnies are NOT cheap and I don’t know if I’ll ever make the splurge on them, but I’m obsessed. I try them on every time I’m in Nordstrom, in an effort to persuade myself to hate them, but it never works. They look AMAZING on. I’m sure I can find a cheaper dupe somewhere, so if I do, I’ll keep you posted.

I love that you try on the sunglasses often! You’re writing is so honest! I love it!!

YES. I do not know what I would do without my Madewell bag – I love the crap out of that thing. So much so that I think I am going to invest in their leather cleaner to give it a little spruce (I think I’ve had it for 2+ years now) so I can continue wearing it with basically everything. I usually need a bag that closes at the top too, but I actually love that because of the open top I can drop any and everything into my tote. It can hold bouquets of flowers, shoes, shopping bags, or just regular purse stuff. I endorse this purchase ! {Sorry, Bryan ;)}
