Christmas Essentials: Everything from Morning to Night

Hey guys! Did you get some shopping done this past weekend? I know I did. The sales were insane. I’m almost done shopping for everyone on my list, and it’s not even December 1st. That’s the best feeling in the world.

But anyway, today’s post is all about Christmas essentials – everything you need from morning to night. Below are my absolute favorites and I can’t wait to share them all with you!

Christmas Essentials from Morning to Night

Christmas Morning

1. J.Crew PJs: What’s more exciting than waking up on Christmas morning in festive pjs? J.Crew make the softest ones, in my opinion. I received a pair for Christmas a few years ago and they are still one of the first ones I grab out of my dresser drawer. I love these ones, because they are festive without having candy canes and reindeer plastered all over them. So, you can really wear these anytime of year.

2. Ugg Cozy Knit Slippers: These are my all-time favorite slippers from Ugg. I owned a grey pair for years until the faux fur wore down to basically nothing. They have a nice thick sole, perfect for grabbing the mail or walking the dog. I added them to my wishlist again this year {in cream} because I legit can’t live without them. I wear them year round, because my feet are almost always freezing.

3. Cuisinart Belgian Waffle Maker: When Bryan and I used to make breakfast at our place on Christmas morning, we’d always do Belgian waffles. It’s quick, simple and delicious. Plus, you can make them in bulk and keep them in the oven to stay warm. When we have friends over during the holidays, I’ll make waffles and also set up a topping bar lined with whipped cream, powdered sugar, brown sugar and sliced strawberries.

4. Illume Balsam & Clove Mercury Candle Set: Candles are a must-have in our home. We have one burning every single day, so Christmas morning will be no exception. Since we have a fake tree this year, I’m definitely picking up some balsam scented candles to really get that holiday smell. I love these from Illume, because you can reuse the mercury glass jars after the candle is gone.

5. Bodum French PressI love our coffee pot so much, but we pull out the French press for special occasions. Bryan and I both enjoy strong coffee, so the French press is the best way to have our coffee on Christmas morning. It takes a bit longer than coffee in a traditional machine, but it’s so delicious. If you’ve never tried a French press, I highly recommend it. I love it with a splash of almond milk + pumpkin pie spice. Mmm.

Christmas Night

6. MAC Lipstick in shade Captive: I’m mentioned this countless times on the blog. I’m really not into lipsticks or lip color at all. Most days, I’ll just throw on Dr. Lipp and run out the door. However, when I want to add a pop of color, I’ll dab on the one of the only lipsticks I own – MAC Captive. It’s the perfect light plum/maroon shade for the holidays. I actually wore it for our Christmas card photo shoot, and it stayed on for hours after! {I’ll be sharing those photos next week.} No reapplying needed.

7. Bells & Holly Drop Earrings: Call me completely cheesy, but I love festive earrings, especially to wear on Christmas night. I discovered my love for them last year, but by the time I decided to buy them {a few days before Christmas}, they were sold out everywhere. So, I made my own using small plastic ball ornaments I found at Target and earring hooks from Michaels. This year, I’ve been seeing cute ones all over the place! I’m loving these, these and these.

8. Madewell Billie Booties: I own these Billie Booties and I wear them to death. They go with literally everything. I probably should buy a different pair and switch things up once in a while, but I can’t seem to find any that I love just as much. I could always just get them in every color available… #shoppingproblems

9. Free People “She’s All That” Sweater: Christmas for our family is really casual, so I like to throw on a huge chunky sweater to hide my bloat from dinner. Haha, just keeping it real. I’ve had my eye on this Free People one for months. It comes in a few different colors and looks so damn cozy. But, do you want to know a secret? Almost every single sweater I own is from Target. No shame at all. But, here’s a tip. NEVER wash your sweaters yourself. Take them to the dry cleaner, no matter how much the sweater cost you. I ruined SO many sweaters over the years by throwing them in the washer at home. Now, I take them to the dry cleaner after 3-5 wears and they look like new.

10. Madewell Denim: On Christmas night, we go to my dad’s house and have dinner with him, his fiancé, my sister and my sister’s boyfriend. It’s nothing fancy, so I typically wear jeans. Another Madewell item, because I’m clearly obsessed. {Side note: this post is NOT sponsored by Madewell!} This high-rise pair is stretchy and super comfy. I tried them on last time I was in the store, and they feel like butter. No joke. I own this 8″ skinny pair and I wear them numerous times a week. Whenever I wear other jeans, I complain to Bryan that I should have just worn my Madewells.

// Okay, that’s it my friends. Everything you need on Christmas – from morning to night! I want to hear all about your essentials, so tweet me or leave a comment on my Instagram.
