friday favorites simply nicole

Woo hoo. It’s Friday and it’s also the start of Labor Day weekend. I’m excited to have Monday off from work, but I plan on using the time to shoot a lot of upcoming content for the blog. That doesn’t mean I won’t be enjoying some rest and relaxation. We’re expecting some rain on Saturday, so I might spend the day cleaning the apartment, baking cookies and just laying low. On Sunday, I plan to sit by the pool for a little while and then head to dinner with Bryan’s grandmother. So overall, plans for an awesome holiday weekend.

It’s Friday though, so let’s get into my Friday Favorites from this past week.

1. Brown Cow Yogurt

I’ve always been a huge yogurt fan, but would mainly stick to ones made with soy milk, almond milk, or 2% cow’s milk. About a year ago, I started trying full-fat, whole milk yogurt and I’m so glad that I did! Sorry to my vegan friends, but I find it so much creamier than other yogurts and it keeps me fuller longer. My favorite brand at the moment is Brown Cow {not sponsored!}. Their vanilla and cherry vanilla flavors are to die for. I have one for breakfast almost every day during the work week, alongside a banana or sometimes granola. If you live in the northeast, you can find this brand at Giant Food Stores, Wegmans and Whole Foods, but here’s a store locator just in case.

2. The Pioneer Woman’s Blackberry Cobbler

I posted the photo above to Instagram last weekend, but I had to mention it here in my Friday Favorites too. It’s THAT good. With the fall season quickly approaching, I’ve had the urge to bake and cook more than normal. Bryan’s definitely not complaining! I searched high and low on the internet for the best cobbler recipe. So many people raved about The Pioneer Woman’s blackberry cobbler, so I knew I had to make it. I followed the recipe exactly and I honestly say it’s absolutely delicious. It’s more of a traditional cobbler the first day {very soft and juicy}, but if you like your cobbler more cake-like, wait until the second day. It definitely firms up a bit. Either way, I’m sure you’ll love it. I can’t wait to bring it along the next time we visit friends. It’s the perfect dessert for a dinner party.

3. Pinterest-Obsessed

I’ve been obsessed with Pinterest lately. I mean… let’s be serious. I’ve always loved Pinterest, but I’ve been using it every single day for the past month or two. Right now, I’m loving it for fall recipes, home organization tips, makeup and beauty inspiration, and DIY projects. This time of year always gets me excited to deep clean our apartment, organize everything, and pull out my buy some fall decorations. 4. Etsy

My last favorite this week is Etsy. I’m so behind the times with Etsy, because I feel like people have been loving Etsy for years now. Don’t get me wrong – I’ve purchased products from there in the past, but it wasn’t until recently that my obsession has become REAL. I’ve been finding the absolute cutest shops with really unique products, including this custom letterpress stationary set, these crocheted poufs, and this wooden personalized cutting board. I’m planning on doing a post in the coming weeks all about my favorite Etsy finds, so keep an eye out for that.

// I hope you all have a productive Friday and a great holiday weekend!

Looking up fall recipes is high on my list now that the weather has shifted! I’m so ready for crockpot season.

I’ve been extra obsessed with Pinterest lately as well! I made a secret board just so I can start planning Fall outfits while I get my style back on track haha!
