COllage1

TGIF! Bryan and I took off on Monday to go to the beach and we can’t wait. I’m looking forward to lounging on the sand, playing frisbee, and buying fudge. That last part is extremely important. A trip to the beach is not complete without fudge. Let’s hope the work day flies by, so we can get this weekend started!

Here are my Friday Favorites for the week.

Tory Burch Caroline Black Patent

1. Tory Burch Caroline Flats

It’s true. Breaking in Tory Burch flats can be a real pain (literally). However, a few years ago I bought the Caroline flats in the nude patent leather and had no problem. I wore them to death and eventually had to trash them because they had a whole in the side. I loved them, and have been looking for a black patent pair ever since. I’m definitely a patent leather kind of gal. In my opinion, they last much longer than soft leather shoes. I don’t think Tory Burch made the Caroline’s in black patent until this year (I could be wrong). I love these flats because they are comfortable for women with wide feet, and they don’t need to be broken in like a lot of other Tory flats. I can’t wait to purchase these, because I know I’ll be wearing them to work basically every day in autumn, and even in the winter time with a skirt and tights.

2. Pete

Pete’s always a Friday Favorite, but I had to mention him. Who doesn’t love seeing photos of Pete?! This week he’s been extra snuggly. He wakes me up every morning with a kiss and is always excited to see me when I come home after work. If I’m having a rough day, he certainly brightens up my mood!

3. Raw Oysters

I mentioned in my Blue Bell Inn review that while there, I tried raw oysters for the first time. I’ve been craving them ever since. I’m excited because Bryan and I will be having them again tonight at dinner. We had west coast oysters at the Blue Bell Inn, so I think tonight we will try a mix of east and west coast. Oysters from the west coast are better for oyster-virgins because they are a bit less briny.

4. Dining Room Chairs

Now that we have a dining room table, the race is on for upholstered chairs. The photo above is a similar style to what I’m looking for. I love the arms! I’d like the fabric to be a bit lighter beige and the legs to be a light wood. I’m not too picky, right?! I figure if we’re spending a lot of money on chairs, they mind as well be exactly what we want.

Pete is so adorable! It can take so long to find just the right piece of furniture but it is worth the hunt!
