These questions have been showing up on some blogs that I read, so I thought it would be fun to do them! Especially, since a lot of you mentioned on my reader survey that you’d like to see more personal posts. If you do this survey too, make sure to leave your blog post link in the comments so I can read your answers.

1. What brings you the most joy?
Spending time traveling with Bryan definitely brings me the most joy. I love exploring new cities with him. Some of my favorite memories together have been while traveling. For instance, hiking in San Diego, taking the Incline Railway in Chattanooga, and visiting the Old Jail in Jim Thorpe on Halloween.

2. What are your vices?
Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and cheesecake. Preferably not together.

3. What is on your nightstand?
I try to keep my nightstand very minimal, because I hate seeing clutter when I’m trying to sleep. Right now, there’s a lamp, crystals, a buddha statue, lavender essential oil spray, and a glass of water.

4. Do you have a secret talent?
I’m a pretty good dancer, but many people know that so I guess it’s not considered a secret.

5. What is your greatest indulgence?
Friday nights with a skinny margarita and extra spicy guac at Plaza Azteca. Followed by relaxing in bed with a good book or magazine. I usually don’t last very long, because I’m EXHAUSTED by the time Friday night rolls around.

6. What should everyone try at least once in their life?
Travel! Make it a priority. If you don’t want to travel outside the country, head to California. There’s so much to see and there’s a lot of variety. If you’re a beach person, go to Southern California. If you prefer the mountains, go to Northern California. Either way, make sure to take a ferry to Catalina Island. SOO extremely gorgeous.

7. What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I don’t know if it’s a surprise or not, but I was a HUGE nerd in high school – actually from kindergarten through high school. {I’m still nerdy, but whatever.} When I was a freshman, I was pushed in a locker. So cliche, but it happened!

aw, when Pete was a tiny puppy!

8. What makes you laugh?
Pete makes me laugh every day. Even after a really bad day, he makes me smile. He makes the weirdest faces and is super cuddly. He lets me pick him up and dance around the kitchen to The Holiday soundtrack while dinner is cooking. He doesn’t really have a choice, but I like to think that he enjoys it.

9. What is on your bucket list?
Oh gosh, I feel like my bucket list is constantly growing. Most of the things on there have to do with travel: France, Greece, Ireland, Bora Bora.

10. What is on your feet right now?
My favorite UGG slippers {mine are gray}. I literally can’t walk around my home without them. I got them as a gift YEARS ago and they barely have any fur left in them, but I will never throw them away.

Working at Rita’s Water Ice with my friend Anthony. Yes, I have one TWO collared shirts.

11. How did you make your first dollar?
I worked at Rita’s Water Ice in South Philadelphia. It certainly wasn’t the most glamorous first job, but whose is? I worked there in the summer months for a few years, and really made some great friends. I still talk to some of them today!

12. What superstition do you believe in?
I don’t really believe in any. Open an umbrella indoors? Sure, go for it. Have a black cat cross your path? That’s cool. Break a mirror? No worries.

13. What items in your closet do you wear the most?
Since I have an office job, the items that get the most wear are my work clothes. I have these ankle pants from Express in a few different colors. They are great if you’re short because they don’t drag. Another fav of mine is a Ralph Lauren sweater that my sister-in-law bought me for Christmas last year. It’s not super heavy, so I can wear it year round.

14. What is on your liquor shelf?
Our bar cart is stocked, and I think I’ll do a full post about it. However, most of what’s on there are Bryan’s fancy gins and whiskeys. My favorites include Tito’s Vodka and lots of Pellegrino bottles.

15. What is on your kitchen counter?
Currently, we unfortunately keep a lot of our appliances there because we don’t have amble closet space. I’m hoping that when we move, we’ll free up our counter space a bit more. We have a coffee maker, a juicer, a toaster oven, our paper towel holder, a tray with vitamins and coffee supplies, a marble container filled with cooking utensils, and a cutting board with olive oil and Pete’s food on top. UGH, too much stuff!

16. What would you never leave home without?
Since saying my cell phone and wallet is generic and BASIC, I’m going to say lip balm. I apply it every other hour. The two I can’t live without are Baume de Rose in the color Coral Stellar from By Terry and Peppermint Squeezable Lip Balm from Burt’s Bees.
