Gift Guide for the Decorator

Good morning everyone. There wasn’t a post up yesterday, because it was my birthday! Instead of spending the weekend working on blog posts, like I usually do, I spent it celebrating with family and friends. However, now I’m all stressed out because there’s so many posts I want to get up before the end of this year. AHH. It will all get done, I’m sure, but I just have to buckle down and be productive. Today’s post is a gift guide for the decorator in your life. You know who I’m talking about. The person with the perfect home, who always seems to have everything in order. Believe it or not, there are some great items that you can buy him or her!

gift guide for the decorator

1. Spiked Cider Soy Candle, $29.95: Soy candles are so much better for your home since they contain no toxins, carcinogens or pollutants. Soy wax burns cooler than petroleum-based paraffin candles, which means you can enjoy your soy candle for generally 30-50% longer. This candle from Rewind smells like spiked cider, so I’m all about that.

2. Clarus Small Brass Display Box, $59.95: I have a similar box on my dresser that I use to store sunglasses. I love how chic it looks. Aside from storing trinkets, you could also fill the box with soil and small plants to create a terrarium.  The possibilities are endless.

3. Agate Bookends (set of two), $30: I love agate everything, so I think these bookends are perfect for that decorator in your life.  They can add a pop of color in an otherwise neutral room, and they actually serve a purpose – keep your books standing up! This set from West Elm come in blue, natural and green.

4. “In the Spirit of Venice” Coffee Table Book, $38.99: Coffee table books are a great present, because most people won’t splurge to buy them themselves. If you have a friend who loves decorating and traveling, a book like “In the Spirit of Venice” is perfect. There’s hundreds of great travel photography books out there, but this one has received great reviews.

5. Brother P-Touch Label maker, $30.72: The folks at Brother sent me this label maker to try out back in the summer, and I use it all the time. It’s great for anyone who not only loves decorating, but also loves making sure everything is organized. It’s super easy to use and you can buy all different types of fun tape for it too.

6. Mirrored tray, $24.99: Everyone needs a nice tray to hold their perfumes and skin care favorites in their bathroom. I have numerous mirrored trays all throughout our apartment because I love them so much. I love anything mirrored because it adds a bit of elegance to an otherwise boring space.

7. UGG Australia throw, $98: Any home decor lover will enjoy a luxe throw. You can never have enough throws. I love this one from UGG because it’s super soft and at under $100, it’s much more affordable than some of the ones from Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware.

8. Small Art from Art Crate, $22 per month: If you have a friend who loves art, then you need to know about Art Crate. Art Crate is sort of like a Birch Box for art. You complete a quick survey all about what you like and don’t like in home decor. Then, on the 15th of every month, your personal curator will email you three prints that are hand-selected based on your personal style. You’ll then select the print that you like the best. The print will ship on the 25th of every month right to your door. Art Crate provided me with a sample piece of art and their art curators picked the perfect abstract print for our space. Our experience was great, so I highly recommend you at least go over to their site and learn more.

Thank you for reading my post today.
