Happy Easter!

Yesterday morning, I wrote on Twitter that I was planning on going running around 10am for a nice run.  I did however go for a run, but it was earlier than I expected.  Left the house around 9am!

Progress:

  • I actually ran the first mile without stopping.  YES!  I know this may not be that exciting to some of you more experienced runners, but I’ve been trying harder to build my endurance and try to keep going without taking a walking break.
  • My throat still hurts while I’m running and my lungs feel tight.  I’m going to the Doctor’s in May to talk about getting an inhaler.
  • Mental note:  do not wear Bryan’s 100% cotton socks while running.  HELLO BLISTERS!

Last night, Bry and I headed over to a bar near my sister’s house to celebrate her 21st birthday.  Although her birthday is today, she was able to go to the bar last night at 10pm to start celebrating.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TARA!  The bar wasn’t really my “scene”.  Too much cigarette smoking for my liking.  I still have a migraine from all the smoke!  However, it was nice to see my sister and my cousin.

We didn’t get back to our place until midnight, so after showers and putting clean sheets on the bed, I didn’t fall asleep until around 1am.  I haven’t seen that hour in a while!  My tiredness did not stop Easter festivities this morning!  Bry and I went to Cheesecake Factory last year for Easter brunch and figured we should make it a tradition.  I ordered the French Toast Napoleon (minus the pecans), and it was delicious!

Don’t let that picture fool you.  I was actually really happy at brunch.  Bry kept telling me the photo wouldn’t come out right because of the shade, so I wasn’t expecting the photo to be taken.  We were the only couple sitting outside during brunch.  I don’t understand why– the weather was glorious!

After brunch, I napped on the couch for an hour.  It was much needed after barely sleeping last night.  I need to order more b12 vitamins ASAP, though.

Time for a quick shower and get ready to head to my dad’s girlfriend’s house for Easter dinner.

Happy Easter everyone!
