Healthy and delicious on-the-go drinks

Like many of you, I work a full-time job outside of my home. I eat my breakfasts and lunches at my desk, which might be the most un-glamorous thing ever. With that said, I don’t have time to prepare complex meals, so I’m constantly looking for quick and healthy foods I can grab on the go.

Today we’re going to dive into some drinks that I love to take with me to work. Some of these are new additions to my routine, while others I’ve purchased numerous times. They keep me hydrated but also provide some variety, and help me not indulge in soda everyday from our office vending machine.

So, if you’re in the same boat as me and are always looking for interesting drinks to grab on the go, keep on reading!

Bai AntiWater

1. Bai Antiwater

First up is water. I know what you’re probably thinking – BORING! But no, hear me out. Obviously we all know how important water is, so I won’t bore you with those details, but there’s a bunch of reasons why this Bai Antiwater is my #1 on-the-go drink.

Not only do I like the taste, but the bottle is 28.4 fluid ounces. Since I’m always struggling to drink more water, I love that this bottle is larger than most. I make sure to drink at least one of these throughout the day, and then another one at night. I know that it’s not nearly enough, but I’m making progress!

Bai Antiwater is infused with antioxidants and electrolytes, which help strengthen the immune system. So, it’s definitely been a lifesaver during the past few days while I’ve been sick.

Kevita Probiotic drink review

2. Kevita Sparkling Probiotic Drink

Next up is Kevita Sparkling Probiotic Drink. I’ve talked about this drink many times here on the blog, but it’s so amazing that I need to feature it in this post too. It’s organic, non-GMO, and packed with probiotics, which is essential for someone like me with a horrific digestive system. It helps your body absorb vital nutrients, aids in digestion, and gives you a natural boost of energy.

I’ve tried a few different flavors, but my favorite is lemon ginger. It’s a bit sweet, sour and spicy – all in one! I usually drink Kevita when I’m in the mid-afternoon slump around 2-3pm. It helps settle my stomach after lunch, and it’s a great pick me up! Note: Make sure to keep it refrigerated.

Bai Bubbles Review

3. Bai Bubbles

I don’t count calories, but I prefer to eat my calories not drink them. If I’m going to indulge in a high-calorie treat, I usually like it to be something fulfilling like cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory – not a can of soda.

If you’re trying to cut back on soda, I highly recommend trying Bai Bubbles. It’s a carbonated drink, but it’s infused with antioxidants and doesn’t have all that high fructose corn syrup like soda. Each can has only 5 calories and 1 gram of sugar, and no nasty artificial sweeteners. I don’t do artificial sweeteners because they give me a headache, and are all-around terrible for you. This drink gets its sweetness from Stevia, which many of you know is a naturally occurring sweetener made from the leaves of a plant. A sweet, bubbly drink + no headaches = a win!

I’ve tried a couple flavors of Bai Bubbles, but my favorite is the Gimbi Pink Grapefruit. It tastes amazing on its own, but I’m dying to try it mixed with a little bit of champagne. If grapefruit isn’t your thing, they also have blackberry lime, black cherry, guava, blood orange, and many other interesting flavors.

Health-Ade Kombucha

4. Health-ade Kombucha

If you’re unfamiliar with kombucha, let me back up a moment and give you some details. Kombucha is a fermented beverage that’s created during a specific process involving tea, sugar and scoby {a mixture of bacteria and yeast}. After seven to ten days, the result is a naturally carbonated fermented drink filled with probiotics, enzymes and other nutrients. It was known in ancient Chinese cultures as the “health elixir” or the “elixir of life”.

I’ll be honest, when I first tried kombucha many years ago, I thought it tasted like straight up vinegar. Recently, my friend Leslee posted about Health-ade Kombucha on her Instagram. I was hesitant to buy it right away, because of my bad experience years ago, but I texted her anyway and asked her honest opinion of the product. She told me that it was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. I picked up a bottle of the Pink Lady flavor this past weekend and I have to say that I’m now hooked. It’s sweet, bubbly, and very refreshing.

Health-ade Kombucha stands out from other brands, not only on taste, but because their products are organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, raw and vegan. Instead of infusing their kombucha with juice concentrate, they uses only fresh cold-pressed fruit to ensure maximum nutritional benefits and best flavor.

// Ok, I’m off to drink some hot tea and rest. This cold has GOT to go.

Talk soon.

xo, Nicole

I would like to try the Bai Anti water. I have such a hard time making myself drink water.

Try it, and let me know what you think!

YES! Pink lady apple FTW! It is so worth it. It’s my #treatyoself drink 🙂 I got my mom hooked on it too.

YUM! I’m excited to try some of the other flavors too!
