9 Healthy Foods that You Can Buy on Amazon

Bryan and I go grocery shopping at least once a week. We meal plan before we go and type everything up in the Notes app, so we know exactly what we’ll need for dinners during the week. Not only does it save us time, but in the long run saves us money too!

HOWEVER… no matter how great we plan, it’s inevitable that we’ll forget something. As much as I’d like to just run back out to the store during the week, I just can’t. When I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is run errands. Dinner and Netflix are waiting!

So what’s the solution? Amazon! You’ve probably purchased beauty products, home decor, literally ANYTHING on Amazon that you could think of. But have you thought about buying food? Amazon is a huge timesaver {especially if you have Prime}, and sometimes they have lower prices than your local grocer. Isn’t online shopping the best?!

Below are my 9 favorite healthy foods that you can buy on Amazon.

healthy foods that you can buy on amazon

1. Organic Coconut Oil: As you’re probably aware coconut oil is the bomb (dot) com. It’s packed with vitamin E, vitamin K, iron and fatty acids {read more coconut oil benefits here}. My favorite way to use it is for cooking since it’s very heat-stable. Another random use for coconut oil? Cleaning your leather boots! I have a pair of Ralph Lauren leather boots that Bryan bought for me six years ago, and the coconut oil makes them look new again by adding sheen back into them.

2. Organic Chia Seeds: If you have digestive issues like me, chia seeds will be your best friend. They are super-high in fiber at nearly 11 grams per ounce. And we all know what fiber is good for… getting things moving! Chia seeds also help you feel full longer because they absorb water and expand in your stomach. I put them & flax seeds in every single smoothie I make. Next time you make a smoothie, add a dash of chia seeds. You won’t regret it.

3. Vanilla Almond Butter: I’ve never been a big nut butter fan. Even when I was younger, I would just eat jelly sandwiches instead of PB & J, because I hated the taste of peanut butter. Although I still hate peanut butter, I LOVE almond butter – specifically vanilla almond butter. I eat it with apple slices almost every day.

4. Almond & Apricot KIND Bars: Keeping with the almond trend, next up on the list are almond and apricot KIND bars. When I was in college, I basically lived off of bars since they are easy to grab on the go. Protein bars, fruit bars, nut bars, whatever I could find. I definitely overdid it, and now I actually hate them… EXCEPT for these almond and apricot ones. Unlike the ones I had in college, these are all-natural, gluten-free and non-GMO.

5. Peppermint Tea: I’m super specific about the tea I drink. I really dislike basic black tea because it’s super boring and can taste a bit bitter. Anyone else agree? My all-time favorite kind of tea is anything minty. Peppermint tea has SO many benefits. It helps with bloating, indigestion and your immune system, but also anxiety since it’s a mood booster and can help you relax!

6. Organic Cayenne Pepper: Cayenne pepper is my jam. Ask Bryan. I literally put cayenne and red pepper flakes on everything from pizza to brussels sprouts! My favorite brand is Simply Organic. It’s my goal to eventually buy all Simply Organic brand spices for our home, because they truly are the best. They are ethically sourced and come in the cutest glass containers.

7. Organic Coffee: My favorite type of coffee to make at home is Organic Coffee Company’s Java Love blend. OMG you guys. This stuff is amazing. If you like dark roast, you’ll love this. It’s not bitter at all, and tastes AMAZING with almond milk

8. Apple Cider Vinegar: Like coconut oil, ACV has so many benefits and uses. Use it as a facial toner to help balance PH, drink it in smoothies to help cleanse your kidneys, or mix it with water to create a killer non-toxic countertop cleaner. The possibilities are endless, my friends.

9. All-Natural Popcorn: I love eating popcorn at night when I’m watching TV, but I hate the kind with all the gross “butter.” Yes, butter in quotes. It’s not real stuff. If I’m having popcorn, I make sure it’s plain. That way, I can add whatever I want to it. I usually throw in cayenne and red pepper flakes if I’m in the mood for something spicy. Otherwise, it’s usually just sea salt and a dash of cinnamon!
