Many of you recently commented on my Instagram pictures asking about my curly hair.

Let me be honest – I have pin straight, flat, boring hair.  Super straight, stringy hair.  So how do I get my hair to look like that?  I use two tools.  First up is the Oribe Maximista thickening spray.

After I am done showering, I spray Oribe Maximista from root to tip and blow dry in sections.  I was hesitant to buy this product because my hair is SO thin and flat, I believed nothing could give it volume.  Maximista WORKS.  Trust me.  After my hair is dried, I tease it in sections and go to bed.  When I wake up in the morning, my hair is still voluminous.  It’s insane really.  I actually have good looking bedhead when I wake up in the morning after using this product.  If you’d like to purchase the product, click here to be redirected to Amazon for the best price!

So now you know how I get the volume, but how do I get the curls?  I use the Sultra Reverse Bombshell Cone, which I believe is the best curling rod on the market.  I’ve tried 3 or 4 curling rods in the past and none of them seem to hold the curl as well as Sultra’s curling products.  I love how the rod is textured, which really helps add body to the curl.

Unfortunately, I was told that they no longer sell the Reverse Bombshell on their website because they don’t make it anymore, but I found a link on Amazon for you!  Click here to be redirected to the Amazon link.

I also have the regular Bombshell Cone and it works just as well and you can purchase that one directly on the Sultra website.  I personally just use whichever cone I grab first under my bathroom sink.

The only real difference is the shape of the cone and the texture.  The reverse cone goes from skinny to thick when tilted upside down and the regular cone goes from thick to skinny when tilted upside down to curl.  See below – the Reverse Bombshell is on the left and the regular Bombshell is on the right.

I don’t know how I lived without these products in the past.  I use both of these products almost every single day.  So now you know my secret, my friends.

I normally shave my head (clippers not razor) and have been growing it out recently. I keep the sides short and sort of spike the top. I dont think the curls would work for me, but love that you have the option on yours.

Maybe I can convince you to shave your head, if I curl mine? Maybe? eh, worth a shot.

Ahhh I’ve been looking for a new curling iron. I really want to get a wand of some kind. I have STICK straight hair and zero patience for curling so it’s a rare/special occasion when I take the time to actually do it.

I actually never curl or blow dry my hair haha my hair is pretty straight, with a slight wave to it. But I just don’t have time, and those days I do have time, I don’t want to damage my hair. It just gets super tangly when I use heat on it haha. But I love this look so much!!

I wish I would spend more time figuring out cute stuff to do with my hair.. or just have someone that does it for me every day?!
