I’m a bit late on this, but here are my March Goals Recap and April Goals.

1.  Find a wedding venue.  COMPLETED!  I mentioned in yesterday’s post that we signed our venue contract, so if you want to read more go to that post!  I’ll be doing a full post about our venue at a later time.  We are so very excited and can’t wait to start planning the rest of our wedding.

2. Take at least 1 yoga class this month.  DID NOT COMPLETE.  I didn’t really try to get this goal done this month.  March was a pretty great month, but it was super busy.  I’m still going to add this to my April goal list.

3.  Experiment with other juicing recipes.  DID NOT COMPLETE.  Since March was spent moving, I didn’t get a chance to try new juices.  Our juicer was unpacked first though!  You know where my priorities are!

4. Read a good book.  DID NOT COMPLETE.  This is going on my April goals list!  I really need to get back into reading and stop sitting on my computer all night.

5.  Get my hair, skin and nails in order.  SOMEWHAT COMPLETED.  You know that I’m cutting dairy out of my diet, and I’ve found that my skin cleared up without it.  When I started having dairy again on Easter, I noticed my skin going crazy.  Looks like I found the culprit.

1.  Practice yoga more.  I would like to start going to yoga classes and doing some at home videos this month.  I know yoga has been on my goal list for the past few months, but I really think this month is my month!

2.  Read a good book.  Adding this one back to my goal list for April.  I need to stop spending so much time sitting on my computer at night.  I spend from 8:30-6 everyday at work (sometimes more) on a computer.  I need to at least spend some time everyday away from my computer!

3.  Get my hair, skin, and nails in order.  Another repeat goal.  Still trying the dairy free diet.  I’ll be doing a recap thus far in a few days.

4.  Sign a contract with our caterer and have our tasting to pick out our wedding menu.  This should be scheduled for a Saturday this month, but you never know what could happen, so I’m adding it to my goal list for April.  One more thing to check off for wedding planning.

5.  Experiment with new salad recipes.  Last month I started adding avocado to my salads, but I want to experiment and add even more new ingredients to my salads.  I’m thinking seeds and different veggies.

I’m so excited to hear more about the venue! I need to work on fitting in more time for reading, too!

I think I’m going to reread Food Matters. I read it back in college and skimmed through a lot of it.

I am impressed that you have so many goals in addition to wedding planning!! That is a crazy amount of work in itself 🙂 Your venue looks like it is going to be gorgeous. I am excited to read about how cutting out dairy improves/changes your skin and hair and nails!

Haha yes it is! Thanks Becky! I am looking forward to seeing changes as well, because I know they don’t happen overnight 🙂

I’m defiantly having trouble calming my skin down after EAster too! Damn dairy. I was so happy when you said you finally found a venue, bet that was a huge weight lifted off your shoulders!! This month I’m just going to try to stay positive, and enjoy every moment I have with friends and family 🙂

Yes it was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! It took us 4 months!

Congrats on finding a venue! That’s seems to be the hardest part with some of my clients right now, so I definitely applaud you! Food tastings are so exciting too – don’t forget to think about vegetarian options just incase! As a wedding planner I love reading your wedding updates and hope you can make it to a Pa Blogger event soon 🙂

Cheers!

Thanks Steph! That’s so cool that you’re a wedding planner! I thought I would love wedding planning, but now that I’m doing my own I couldn’t imagine the stress of planning someone elses!

I love every part about it!! – our goal is to make it as LEAST stressful as possible for our brides and grooms! Have you thought about a planner, if not to help you through the process, pick vendors and look over contracts but even just to serve on site day of to take care of anything you need during the day? I had a bridesmaid tell me I was a blessing in disguise while sewing her into her dress after the zipper broke right before the ceremony.

We had similar March goals! Yoga, reading, juice, etc. I achieved some, but hoping April is a better month : ) One of my big goals for April is to do some spring cleaning around the house.

Me too! March was an “eh” month. I’m hoping April is better. Spring cleaning is always a good goal. I need to do that this week!

it’s amazing to me how DAIRY–if your body dislikes—can wreak havoc!!
