My Favorite Healthy Kitchen Gadgets

October 12, 2013

Over the past few years, I’ve grown to love the kitchen.  Back in college you couldn’t catch me in my mini kitchen for longer than 5 minutes – those 5 minutes were typically spent pouring cereal, making coffee, or throwing together random vegetables and calling it a salad.  Most of the time my room-mate and I would just go out to eat, because it was easier and more convenient due to living next door to dozens of restaurants and bars.

These days, my fiancé and I rarely ever eat out and I prefer it that way.  I truly love researching new recipes, food shopping and spending longer than 5 minutes in the kitchen for a healthy and delicious dinner.  Since moving in together a couple years ago, we have acquired some really great items for the kitchen, such as our juicer and blender seen below.  However, there are tons of other kitchen gadgets that I’d love to own and have added to our wedding registries.  *Here’s to hoping we get that water filter, because our current one is on its way out.

🙂 that’s how I feel about my juicer and blender.

I’m going to have to acquire one of these vitamix things 😉

I don’t own a Vitamix, but I do love my juicer! Check out the link. SOOO worth it.

MY
VITAMIX!!

I’ve heard great things about it. Although I swear by my juicer and blender. Best stuff ever.

I remember our days of endless cereal eating and spending all our money on going to eat. I really miss Pita Pit and Landmark!

My favorite gadgets are my crockpot (I use it at least once a week) and my Kitchen Aid hand mixer (it’s yellow and really cute!). If I could buy anything it would probably just be more storage space. I’ve been tempted to get the Kitchen Aid stand mixer before, but I think it’s just too big for my kitchen right now so I’ll wait. And I like cooking the most but I’ve been getting more into baking and trying to find “lighter” ways to do it!

Those were the days! I love my Kitchenaid stand mixer. Bryan’s parents bought it for us as an engagement present. I use it at least once a week on cookies, cakes, brownies so I keep it on our counter. I didn’t mention it in the post bc I only ever use it for unhealthy things 🙂

I have a hand mixer on our registry. I hope we get it bc id love it for smaller mixing tasks.
