detox water

One of my favorite things about spas {aside from massages & amazing smelling candles} is spa water. You know… the fruit/veggie/herb infused water they serve when you enter the spa. Some people call it detox water. Funny story: I was going to name this post Delicious Detox Spa Water, but my husband said no one would know what I was talking about. Psh! Yeah right. I think most women know what that is. Right? Well either way, this post is talking about the same thing.

I love detox water because it’s so incredibly easy to make at home in like 5 minutes or less. You might be thinking, “I buy flavored water from the grocery store all the time” or “I add flavored droplets to my water on the daily.” I’m sorry to tell you, but they aren’t the best for you. Take a look at the label. I bet there’s some sort of added high fructose corn syrup, sucralose or aspartame.

Today, I’m sharing with you three different versions of this detox water (with NO added sugar or artificial sweeteners) that I think you’ll really enjoy. As many of you know, I hate the taste of regular water. This has been an easy way for me to stay hydrated while also enjoying the taste.

Tips:

  • Buy organic if possible.
  • Rinse the produce very well.
  • Use glass containers to hold your water. Glass is BPA free, is better for the planet, and doesn’t spoil the taste.
  • I drink these waters immediately, but you can also let refrigerate for 1-2 hours for additional flavor. Water that has fruit with rinds needs to be consumed quicker, because the rinds make the water bitter over time.
  • If you want to keep your detox water longer, remove the fruit and store in sealed, labeled containers in the fridge.

You’re welcome, Raina! Thanks for reading 🙂

Most women definitely know what that is! I had some wonderful cucumber water a few weeks ago at a spa, the cucumber was spiralised and dropped inside, and I keep meaning to buy one of those spiralling machines to do it myself! There are some great ideas here to try though, thanks!

I thought so too! Isn’t cucumber water the best?!
