On My Radar: {Not Boring} Swim Suit Cover-Ups

Memorial Day Weekend is just a few days away and I’m already thinking about what I’m going to wear. I hope to get some time to sit by the pool, catch up on reading, and eat lots of yummy BBQ, so I’ll need a great swim cover-up ASAP. I recently went through my summer clothes, and realized that all of my cover-ups are really dated and look like they’ve been through hell and back. I don’t actually remember the last time I bought a cover-up. I think I was in college…

With that said, I’m in dire need of something fresh. I’m not a huge fan of the same old BORING tunic. You know what I’m talking about. The one that every girl at the pool has. So, I’ve put together some fun options that are sure to make you stand out this summer.

not boring cover ups

1. Island Fair V Neck Cover-Up by La Blanca: I love the trim on this cover-up because it gives a boho vibe, which I’m all about. I personally like the seafoam color, but if that’s not for you, it also comes in pink, royal blue and white.

2. Belly Dancer Kimono by Becca: This would be great for the pool because it’s so light that it would dry immediately if it got wet.

3. Nomad Tie Die Covers Tunic by Trina Turk: Although a bit pricey, I absolutely LOVE cover-ups by Trina Turk because of their gorgeous patterns. I don’t own any {yet}, but I tried one on a few years ago and could certainly feel the difference between that and cheaper options.

4. Zanzibar Mini Dress by L*Space: This cover-up serves many purposes. It’s perfect to wear at the beach or pool, but then also acceptable to wear out to lunch afterwards. Score.

5. Southbay Lace Cover-Up Dress by 6 Shore Road: I love a good maxi dress, especially for pool season. Like the Zanzibar mini dress above, this maxi is super versatile. If I need to run errands after spending time at the pool, I’d feel “covered-up” {see what I did there?} in this dress.

6. Cover-Up Slipdress by Elan: This dress is really affordable and comes in a few different colors. Bright aqua blue looks killer with a tan and the deep open back adds a bit of uniqueness.
