Hello everyone!  Sorry for disappearing for a few days, but I had a lot going on last week and barely had time to sleep – let alone write up a blog post.  But, I’m back now and just wanted to fill you in on my week.  Normally on Mondays I do the Weekend Recap, but since I was gone for a bit of last week, I figured I would do a Week Recap.

On Friday, I took off from work so I could help Bryan clean our old place. We had scheduled our walk through for that morning, so everything had to be clean and patched up.  Luckily, it went smoothly and our old landlord said we left the place very clean!  Thank goodness we are finally done with that place.  Goodbye tiny townhouse!

Last week at work I was LOVING salads with avocado!  I bought a few from Whole Foods last week and had to eat them before they went rotten.  No problem there – I just had them everyday.  The salad above was super simple and consisted of romaine lettuce, avocado, and a mango olive oil dressing.

Since you know I’ve been cutting dairy out of my diet, breakfasts have been tough.  My usual for breakfast used to be either eggs or cereal – dairy and more dairy.  This weekend I had toast with honey and banana with a side of mango and kiwi.  Still super delicious!

On Saturday afternoon, Bry and I had a cupcake tasting with Jordan at Velvet Sky bakery in Jenkintown, Pa for our engagement party.  I’m going to do a post about her shop this week, but I just wanted to preview the post by saying her cupcakes are amazing!

OK, so we didn’t get married this past week (DUH) but we did PICK A WEDDING VENUE!  I’ll probably do a full post about this later in the week, but Saturday was a pretty awesome day.  We’ll be having our wedding at the Morris Arboretum in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.  The above photo is of a random wedding I found on Google Images at Morris.

On Easter, we went to Cheesecake Factory for our Easter Brunch tradition.  Afterwards, we went to my dad’s girlfriend’s house for dinner.  SO MUCH FOOD, but really good!  She even gave us an Easter Basket filled with lots of goodies to take home.

Talk To Me

  • What have you been up to this past week?
  • If you celebrate Easter, what did you do yesterday?
  • What’s your typical breakfast?

yay i’m so happy things are coming together for you and the wedding can’t wait to hear about them!

That is A LOT of candy. Nice Easter Bunny.

The wedding venue looks great. Very Cool.

My typical breakfast is a coffee and some kind of pastry or nut bar. Not the best, but that’s how I roll.

I used to love my morning coffee, but since I’m no longer having dairy – i need to find a soy based alternative

I’ve been loving avocado lately too! I could seriously just sit and eat an avocado… yum!

Yay for picking a wedding venue! Can’t wait to hear more!

Avocados are amazing. I can’t believe I used to hate them!

Last week was beyond busy for me too!! Must have been something about last week lol Can’t wait to heat about the Venue and Cupcakes 🙂

Busy weeks are good and bad. I went to sleep on Thursday at 7PM!

Yay for picking a venue! I’m so excited to see pictures! My weekend was fabulous, I spent it with Josh and his parents. We traveled around Central PA and had the best Easter brunch.

Thanks Erin! Super excited now that we have a date and a venue!! That’s awesome that you got to spend the weekend with Josh and his parents. Always nice to do that.

Yay, I’m so glad you found a venue!! I’ve heard of that place, very pretty! We just picked ours: Baldwin Ballroom at the Baldwin School on the Main Line and are in love with it!

We should meet up sometime soon!
