Weekend Recap 1/4- 1/5

January 6, 2014

Good morning!  For some of you this is your first day back to work and for others of you (like myself) you’ve been back to work the day after Christmas. Either way it’s Monday and Mondays are usually my least favorite day of the week.  This year, I really want to start embracing Mondays and I hope you all do the same.  Why?!  Because Mondays are a fresh start to the week and can really dictate how the rest of your week will go.  You mind as well try to make it enjoyable!

Now to recap my weekend.

On Saturday morning, Bryan and I had a few errands to run.  First we had to go to the post office in submit my passport application.  We aren’t sure whether we’ll be taking a honeymoon right away (let’s hope we do!), but it doesn’t hurt to have a passport handy.  After that, we had to drop off a package at UPS and lucky for us it was right next door to the post office!

After our errands were done, we came home and watched more Once Upon a Time.  We finished the first season on Netflix a long time ago, but started watching other shows.  This weekend we decided to start the second season, and I got addicted to it all over again!  I love that this season Hook is involved.  He’s one of my favorite characters.

A short nap occurred after watching TV and then we were off to Leslee’s BF’s apartment for game night!  First up was Heads Up.  OMG SO FUN!  It was recently featured on The Ellen Show so I knew I’d probably like it right away.

The second game we played was called the Catan dice game.  It took some time to learn how to play, but it was fun once I figured out the strategy.  Game nights are always fun with Leslee and her BF because they have so many games and many of them are new to me!  Leslee also made her delicious guacamole.  I could eat that stuff by the gallon probably, because it’s just that good.

We ended up staying out until 2AM, which is definitely new for me.  If I didn’t take a nap earlier in the day I probably would have been SO sleepy, but I’m glad I stayed out and enjoyed myself.

On Sunday, I slept in and did a lot of laundry.  Haha, exciting stuff there.  Afterwards, we drove down to see Bryan’s mom and had dinner at Ruby Tuesday.  They have the BEST salad bar in my opinion.  Their croutons can’t be beat!  I also ordered the salmon which was great as well.

Once we got home it was time for the Bachelor, Revenge, and then sleep time.
