Friday Favorites

Wow, what a week this has been. I told you on Monday that I had B12 shots scheduled Monday through Friday. Unfortunately, my body had a negative reaction to the second shot. I called my doctor right away and she told me to cancel the rest of my shots, but to come in on Wednesday for a check up. During the appointment, we determined that my body might not be able to absorb the B12 anyway and that instead of wasting more money, we should get a blood test done to see if I carry a specific gene. That is scheduled for Monday. The saga continues!

I’m looking forward to a relaxing, stress-free weekend. I don’t have too much planned, aside from dinner with Bryan’s grandmother. We love spending time with her and hearing all about her bridge tournaments. I know very little about bridge, but I’m learning bits and pieces from our visits with her.

Let’s take a look at my Friday Favorites!

POST1

1. Beautiful weather. We had beautiful weather last weekend. I was able to wash down our patio furniture and spend time just enjoying the sunshine. April showers came down hard during the work week, however I’m hoping for another nice weekend! I’m dying to take a road trip to the Appalachian trail and go hiking. I recently found some gorgeous photos online and decided it’s on my spring/summer bucket list.

2. Dried apricots. I’ve never been a huge fan of dried fruits. I think I had a bad experience with dried fruits in my childhood, because up until this past week I’ve always stayed away from them. I picked up a bag of dried apricots from Target and it was gone in two days. That’s how amazing they were! I kept them on my desk at work and had a few during the day if I needed something sweet. Let me know in the comments below what type of dried fruit you enjoy. I need some shopping inspiration for my next Target trip.

3. Frozen mangoes. I’ve probably talked about frozen mangoes numerous times on my blog, but I really loved them this week. My all time favorite are the ones from Trader Joes. I’ve tried versions from Target and Giant, but they all tasted artificial. These are absolutely the best out there, and only $2.99 a bag!

4. A new bedroom lamp. We desperately needed a lamp in our bedroom. We used to have a small table lamp next to our TV, but I moved it recently so I could read in bed. Therefore, a new floor lamp was a requirement. I think this is my favorite home purchase that I’ve made in a while. I got it from Target and only cost us $59.99! Here’s a link in case you’re interested.

Thanks so much for reading my post today!
