TGIF. Could this week have gone any longer?! Even though I had a day off from work, the week just felt like it went on forrrreevvvver. Ok, I’m being dramatic, but you get what I mean. Although the week was less than perfect, I had a lot of favorites, but I narrowed it down to four for you all. I also created a widget at the bottom of this post so you can find links to all the products mentioned. Hope you enjoy!

Peeled Snacks Paradise Found

1. Peeled Snacks

Peeled Snacks are the bomb (dot) com. My cousin from California introduced me to them when we were visiting her last month, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I buy at least 2 or 3 bags of the Paradise Found version every time I’m at Target. They are great to keep in my purse for when I get a midday craving at work or if I’m out and about and can’t stop for a sit-down meal. I’ve never been a huge fan of dried fruit, but these are so delicious. They come in a bunch of different flavors, but the Paradise Found (banana, mango, pineapple) is my favorite.

Barefoot in Paris Ina Garten

2. Barefoot in Paris

I mentioned in my post about my birthday and Christmas wishlist how much I wanted Ina Garten’s Barefoot in Paris cookbook. Surprise! One of my friends bought me it as an early birthday present! I read the entire cookbook in an afternoon and already flagged at least 10 recipes I want to make as soon as possible. I loved reading Ina’s personal stories about Paris and how she fell in love with the city. Aside from the recipes, the book has gorgeous photographs and offers insight on topics like French wine.  It’s the perfect gift for any food or travel lover.

Cake Stand Martha Stewart

3. New Dessert Stand

I’ve never owned a dessert stand. Whenever I make baked goods, they sit on our counter in an ugly plastic container until we eat them all. So when the team at Martha Stewart wanted to send me a cake stand from their holiday look book, I couldn’t say no! I love the scalloped bottom. It’s super elegant and looks great on my kitchen counter. I made Rice Krispy treats last night and was so excited to show them off. Next week, I’ll be sharing how I get fluffy, delicious Rice Krispy treats. Even though I followed the recipe straight from the cereal box, the treats kept coming out dense and crunchy. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong.

4. Green Smoothies

Green smoothies are on my favorites list at least once a month. I can’t deny it. They are the best. After a crappy day off from work (I had a flat tire), I made a delicious green smoothie with kale, spinach, almond milk, pineapple, banana, raspberries, ice, chia seeds, hemp seed and flax seeds. Although smoothies don’t come out that great in our blender, it was still way better than grabbing a sugary soda. I’m hoping to experiment with some different ingredients in my smoothies in the next few weeks, and plan to share new recipes here on the blog.

Thank you for reading my post today.
