This is a sponsored post on behalf of Global Influence Network for Johnsonville.
I was compensated for this post, but all opinions are my own.
For more information see my disclosures here.

The National Brain Tumor Society‘s (NBTS) Race for Hope is only a couple weeks away and I’m reminded daily of why I choose to support this organization every year. As many of you know from reading my blog, my mom passed away in 2007 from metastatic brain tumors. You can read more about that here, here and here (I’m sure there’s many other posts, but I can’t find them all right now). In 2011, I learned about NBTS’s Race for Hope while I was researching 5Ks for beginners. I immediately registered because I’d be running for a cause that hit home.

After running the Race for Hope 5K in 2011

NBTS’s mission is to find better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for people living with a brain tumor today and those who will be diagnosed in the future. Their website provides various resources for those suffering with a brain tumor, as well as opportunities for those looking for online communities or in-person support groups.

Every year since 2011, Bryan and I have supported the Race for Hope. We’ve ran the race, helped set up the registration tents as volunteers, and even just donated one year because we couldn’t find a parking spot in the city. This year we’ll be volunteering at one of the water stops along the course. It will be nice to see the survivors, those still battling cancer, and the many families and friends there for support.

Help me raise brain tumor awareness by supporting my Pear and the Johnsonville charity sponsorship. Simply visit:  https://www.pearup.com/raceforhope

With your help, we could raise up to $1,000 by using social media to post photos, answer questions, like Johnsonville on Facebook, or view the sponsorship page. I’m sure you’re wondering… this is 100% free. NO cash donations are accepted. All money is raised simply by connecting with the sponsor online!

So how does this work?

You can earn sponsorship money by creating a Pear and sharing the link with your friends. Your friends simply complete digital incentives so you can earn more money for your cause. The more supporters who join in, the more funding you receive. I set up my Pear to raise awareness for a non-profit organization, but there are many other reasons to raise money on Pear (i.e. for your child’s sports team, food and catering for your sorority, or t-shirts for your family reunion). You can earn up to $1,000 within a 10-day time frame, which can be used toward your cause. At the end of the 10-day period, you claim an online certificate for the amount earned redeemable at any Pear printer or a check will be made out to the organization or cause you’re supporting.

If you set up your own Pear, please comment below with your link so others can go support your cause.  Even better is that if you start your own Pear, the folks at Pear will add $50 to it automatically if you create one by clicking your preferred program link.
